Hi! If you are interested in who I am and what I am about, you are in the right place!
About 20 years ago I had had it with corporate business and sales! I was making 6 figures, traveling all over the Southeast and absolutely miserable! One morning I woke up and everything in my body said stop! So I quit my job and started a new adventure. The road to finding massage therapy as a profession was winding, but somehow I ended up at the right place at the right time and I started studying massage. As soon I began the massage program at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, I was hooked! I was fascinated with massage, but even more enthralled with Chinese medical massage and Qi gong.
After finishing my 100 hour program at PCOM, I got licensed through the Vice Department in San Diego to practice massage and I continued my massage education at IPSB, the International Professional School of Bodywork. I spent 2 years and logged over 1000 hours of study learning all types of Massage modalities, nutrition and more.
Since leaving IPSB in 2000, I have worked in all types of practices from chiropractic offices to Aveda Concept Salons. I have owned a profitable corporate chair massage practice and worked as an Independent contractor with several companies. Upon opening my studio in Greenville, I began expanding my practice of massage to teaching Yoga (certified yoga teacher in 2010), teaching Tai Chi (Yang Style Short Form and newly certified in Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention), designing wellness programs for the community from Pain Management to Aging Gracefully and implementing community health classes such as TLC: Transitional Learning Circle, Essential Oil Basics, and Community Wellness Talks.
I look forward to sharing my knowledge and expertise of the body, mind & spirit with you, and trust that once you begin your healing journey with me, you'll never stop exploring your body/mind connection!
